Let's pray for your brother's needs, but first, let's remember God's principles for us. In Philippians 4:6 WEB, it is written, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." Also, in Philippians 4:19 WEB "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." It is by Jesus that we should bring our requests to God, knowing that He will take care of our needs.
First, we should clarify that having gas for a car every week goes against what the bible teaches us. We should be content and a good steward with what we have. In 1 Timothy 6:6-8 it says, "But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can't carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that." We should be thankful that there is a mode of transportation available knowing that God will provide.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, thanking You for Your constant provision and love. We ask that You help my brother to be a good steward of the resources You have given him, including the car and the fuel it needs. Help him to trust in You for all these needs.
We also pray that my brother will come to know Jesus more deeply and understand that all our needs are provided by God through Jesus. We pray that he will seek God's will in all things, including his transportation needs, and that he will be content with what You have given him and use it wisely.
If my Brother is not a Believer in Jesus Christ we pray that he will become one. That he confesses with his mouth the Lord Jesus and believes in his heart that God has raised Him from the dead. Jesus is the name at which every knee will bow and tongue confessing that Jesus is Lord. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God.
Lastly, we pray that my brother will be a blessing to others, perhaps by offering rides or assisting those who do not have transportation. Let him be a testament of the love of Christ. We pray for safety in his travels. It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we pray that God's will be done for my brother. Amen.
