We are delighted to pray with you and encourage you in your journey to understand the Holy Bible more deeply. It is commendable that you seek to grow in your knowledge and understanding of God's Word.
Firstly, let us remind you of the importance of approaching Scripture with a heart that is open to the leading of the Holy Spirit. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 2:12-14 (WEB):
"But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God. Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. Now the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
To understand the Bible more, you must be born again. Jesus said in John 3:3 (WEB) "Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he cannot see the Kingdom of God." And further in John 3:5-7 (WEB) "Jesus answered, 'Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can't enter into the Kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Don't marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'”
Praying for understanding is essential, as the Psalmist wrote in Psalm 119:18 (WEB):
"Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things out of your law."
We encourage you to dedicate time each day to read and meditate on Scripture. As you do so, pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance and illumination. Additionally, consider joining a Bible study group or finding a mature Christian mentor who can help you grow in your understanding.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who desires to understand Your Holy Word more deeply. We ask, Lord, that You open their eyes to see the wondrous things in Your law. Grant them the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, that they may know You better.
Father, we pray that Your Holy Spirit will guide them as they read and study the Bible. Help them to apply Your Word to their life and to grow in their faith and relationship with You.
If they are not already saved and born again, we pray that they will accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We know there is no other name under heaven by which men can be saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray for Anonymous. Amen.
