Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus on behalf of Taeweth. We lift up their prayer request to you, Lord, as they seek to overcome the struggle of smoking and press closer into a deeper relationship with you.

Lord, we ask for your strength and guidance for Taeweth as they strive to resist the temptation to smoke. Your Word reminds us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us . We pray that you would empower Taeweth with the willpower and determination to overcome this addiction, knowing that with your help, they can be victorious.

Father, we ask that you draw Taeweth closer to you, just as they desire. Your promise in James 4:8 assures us that when we draw near to you, you will draw near to us. We pray that Taeweth's pursuit of you would be met with your presence, comfort, and guidance. May they experience the fullness of your love and grace as they fix their mind and desires on you.

We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for your faithfulness to answer them. We trust in your unfailing love and believe that you will guide Taeweth on this journey of overcoming addiction and growing closer to you.

A Short Daily Prayer to Stop Smoking​

God, I come to you again today to ask for your help to stop smoking. I feel like if I pray to you that you will help me kick the habit. I am open to whatever will enable me to get this addiction to nicotine out of my body and mind. I’ve been smoking so long I’m not sure I can stop, but I want to. I see what it has done to my health. I feel the disappointment from my family. I see how others judge me when they see me smoking. I want to be free. Help me find a way to stop smoking. Help me kick this habit. Help my body resist the urge to smoke. Help my body to detox from all of the damage my smoking has done over the years. Give me strength I do not have to stop smoking. I’m tired of feeling the way I feel and I know smoking is the cause. Help me, I pray, in the strong name of Jesus Christ, my Redeemer and my Salvation, In Jesus' name Amen.
