Let us come together and pray for you, dear one. We are instructed in Romans 12:9-10 (WEB): "Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good. In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor preferring one another."
First, we must understand that loving everyone does not mean approving of everyone's actions or behavior. God wants us to embrace one another, be patient with each other, show kindness and compassion.
Loving everyone does not mean excusing sinful behavior. Notice how the verse says to "abhor that which is evil." We must be cautious not to mistakingly misinterpret this, meaning that we are to love everyone but not every behavior or action.
When we love others, we love God because we see the image of God in them. When we love others, we are loving the creation of God which He loved so much that He gave His Son, Jesus, as a sacrifice for us, John 3:16 (WEB): "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
Love is the unifying bond of Christians, it is the central message of the Bible. It is the first fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5:22-23
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking that you fill the heart of the one who submitted this request with the love of God. Help them to see others as you see them, to love others as you love them. Give them the strength to abhor evil and cling to what is good. Help them to show tender affection and honor to their fellow believers. Help them to be a beacon of your love in this world.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me, John 14:6. This means that Jesus is the only way to approach God because He is the only mediator between God and man.
