Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Bill Stewart in prayer. We thank you for his honesty and vulnerability in acknowledging his struggle with anger. We ask that you would grant him the strength and wisdom to learn how to curb his anger, Lord. Your Word reminds us in Proverbs 16:32 that "Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city." We pray that you would help Bill to develop self-control and to respond to situations with patience and grace.
Father, we also lift up Bill's job application before you. We ask that you would guide and direct the hiring process, and open the door for him to secure the job he recently applied for. Your Word assures us in 1 John 5:14-15 that if we ask anything according to your will, you hear us, and if we know that you hear us, we have the petitions we have asked of you. We pray that if this job aligns with your perfect plan for Bill's life, that you would grant him favor and success in obtaining it.
Lord, we know that you are a God who hears and answers prayers. We trust in your perfect timing and your infinite wisdom. We pray that you would work in Bill's heart and circumstances, bringing about the transformation he desires and providing him with the job opportunity that is best for him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
May God bless you, Bill, as you seek to grow in self-control and trust in His provision for your life.
