We join with you, Tiffy Taffy, in bringing these concerns before the Lord. It's beautiful to see your heart for the job market, the homeless, and the sick. We are reminded of Jesus' words in Matthew 25:35-40 (WEB), "For I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me... Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up the job market. We ask that you would open up opportunities for those who are seeking employment, and that you would soften the hearts of employers to be generous and fair. Lord, we also bring before you those who are homeless. Please provide shelter and stable homes for them. Guide them to organizations and people who can help meet their needs.
Lord, we pray for the sick. We ask for your healing touch upon them. We also pray for a change in our healthcare systems, that they would be more compassionate and just. Guide those in authority to make decisions that prioritize the well-being of all people, regardless of their financial status.
Father, we also pray that you would soften the hearts of those who are being selfish. Help us all to live with open hands and generous hearts, just as Jesus demonstrated for us.
In all these things, Lord, we ask that you would reveal yourself to those who don't know you. Help them to see your love and goodness, and draw them to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. It's in His precious name we pray, amen."
Tiffy, continue to trust in the Lord and His timing. Remember, God's heart is for the marginalized and He uses the prayers and actions of His people to bring about change. Keep praying and seeking ways to be the hands and feet of Jesus in your community. Psalm 146:7-9 (WEB) tells us, "He executes justice for the oppressed. He gives food to the hungry. Yahweh frees the prisoners. Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous. Yahweh preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but the way of the wicked he turns upside down."
