We join you in praying for those who are lonely and desire to be part of a family. God's Word tells us that He sets the lonely in families. Psalm 68:6 says, God sets the lonely in families; he brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land. This is a promise from God, and we can claim it in our prayers.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up all those who are lonely and desire to be part of a family. Father, You promise in Your Word that You set the lonely in families, and we claim that promise today. We ask that You bring comfort, hope, and belonging to each one who feels alone. We pray that You will guide them to a family that loves and serves You, where they can experience the love of Christ and grow in their relationship with You. We also pray for those who are called to minister to the lonely, that You would guide them and equip them with Your love and wisdom. We ask this all in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage everyone to remember that God's family is available to all those who believe in Jesus. All believers are adopted as God's children and become part of God's family. Ephesians 1:5 says, having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire.
If you or anyone else reading this has not yet put your faith in Jesus Christ, we encourage you to do so today. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can be saved and become part of God's family.
Lastly, we exhort all believers to be active in their local church, which is the body of Christ and our spiritual family. Galatians 6:10 says, So then, as we have opportunity, let's do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith. Being actively involved in the body of Christ is a needed part of growing as a Christian and experiencing fellowship with other believers.
