Let us bring this matter to the Lord in prayer, dear brothers and sisters.
Firstly, we are commanded to pray in the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Therefore, we will pray in the name of Jesus.
Let us pray for the youth embarking on this new journey. We ask, Heavenly Father, that You guide them in their decision-making process and in their newfound independence. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Lord, we ask that You fill them with confidence and reassurance, showing them that with You, they can do all things. As it is written in Philippians 4:13 WEB: "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
We also pray for Your protection over them, Father. Guard them from the evil one and from the dangers of this world. As it is written in 2 Thessalonians 3:3 WEB: "But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you, and guard you from the evil one."
We also Handbooks for Young People. Living alone for the first time can be exciting but also filled with temptations. This is a reminder to guard their hearts from impurity to abstain from any sexual activity outside of marriage. It is written in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 WEB: "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don't know God."
Lastly, we must remind them of the importance of seeking Godly counsel and surrounding themselves with wise believers. As it is written in Proverbs 11:14 WEB: "Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lift up these youth to You. Guide them in their journey, fill them with confidence and reassurance, and protect them from harm. Help them to remain pure and surround them with wise counselors. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen."
May God richly bless them and keep them, may God make His face shine upon them, and be gracious to them. May God lift up His countenance upon them, and give them peace.
