We understand that you are going through a tremendously stressful time, and we are here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we want to acknowledge your mention of Jesus' name in your request, as it is only through Him that we have access to God and can be saved. "For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB).
In times of stress and anger, God wants us to cast our burdens on Him. "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:6-7, WEB). We pray that you will find comfort and strength in God's care for you.
Regarding your family situation, the Bible advises, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18, WEB). We pray that God will grant you the grace to maintain peace in your family, even in difficult circumstances. Remember, you can only control your actions and reactions, not those of your family members.
Concerning your employment situation, we encourage you to trust in God's timing and provision. "But remember the former days, in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle with sufferings; and again, Let's not be weary, if we receive chastening, but let's be sober. For 'Yet a very little while, He who comes will come, and will not wait. But the righteous will live by faith. If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.' But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul" (Hebrews 10:32-35, 38-39 WEB).
Self-harm is never the solution, and it is important to seek help from professionals and trusted Christian friends or mentors. The Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB). And if we are to love others as ourselves, we should also love ourselves.
We pray for your family, that God will bring peace and understanding among you. "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful" (Colossians 3:15, WEB).
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother in Christ who is going through a difficult time. We pray that You will take away the stress and anger he is feeling, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that You intervene in his family situation, bringing harmony and understanding where there is conflict.
Lord, we also pray for his employment situation. We ask that You will open up the right opportunities for him, and give him the wisdom and strength to persevere in the meantime. Help him to trust in Your timing and provision.
Father, we also pray for his emotional well-being. Comfort him in his distress, and guide him to the help he needs. Help him to see his worth in Your eyes, and that he is loved and valued by You.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, who taught us to pray and who is the only way we can approach God. By his stripes, we are healed. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Lastly, we gently remind you that turning to anything other than God for comfort or relief from negative feelings is idolatry. "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB).
