We join you in praying for those who are in need of food and facing hunger. We remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:35-40 (WEB): "For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me. I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you as a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison, and come to you?’ The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’"
Let us pray together:
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine intervention in the lives of those who are hungry and in need of food. We pray that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. We ask that You would open doors for provisions to come to them, and that You would soften the hearts of those around them to be generous and giving.
We also pray for those who have abundance, that they would share with those in need, remembering the words of the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (WEB): "Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver."
We ask this all in Jesus Christ name.
We encourage you to also be part of the solution, whether that means donating food, volunteering at a local food bank, or supporting organizations that feed the hungry. As the body of Christ, we are called to be His hands and feet, and to care for the least of these.
You have mentioned nothing about believing in Jesus Christ or even praying to God through Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. You may not even be aware that the Bible teaches us that there is no other name by which we can be saved. To be saved what is required?
Let us explain the basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ. John 3:16-21 (WEB) states: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God."
So believe in Jesus Christ and pray to God through Jesus Christ name. Our prayers are heard by God and answered because of Jesus Christ.
