Thank you, NEWHOPE, for reaching out to us with your prayer request. We are here to stand with you in prayer and to seek God's will for your life.
We are instructed in the Bible to present our requests to God with thanksgiving, and we are assured that the Lord cares for us and wants the best for us. It is wonderful to know that God knows our needs even before we ask and we are encouraged to take all of our requests to Him. We are encouraged to "Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6 WEB)
We are praying for your current job, that the Lord will give you the wisdom and strength to perform your duties excellently, and that He will grant you favor with your employers and colleagues. We also pray to be your Shalom, your peace, as you trust in Him. Remember that Jesus is our peace, "For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (2 Corinthians 5:21 WEB).
We notice that you did not mention Jesus in your prayer request. It is important to remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) and "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13 WEB). We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ if you have not already, and to invite Him into your life. Remember that His love for you is everlasting and He wants to have a personal relationship with you. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16 KJV).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up NEWHOPE. We thank You for their life and for the job that they currently have. Lord, we ask that You will guide them in their work, give them wisdom and understanding, and help them to excel in their duties. We pray that You will grant them favor with their employers and colleagues, and that Your hand will be upon them.
We also pray for their unspoken request, Lord. You know the depths of their heart and we ask that You will be their Shalom, their perfect peace, as they trust in You. We ask that You will work all things together for their good, according to Your will.
We pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
