We understand your concern for the environment and the urgency you feel about the transformation of energy systems around the world. As believers, we are called to be good stewards of the earth, as God has given us this responsibility.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that the earth is yours, and everything in it (Psalm 24:1). We pray for the nations, including America, that they would wisely and swiftly transition to energy sources that honor your creation and the mandate you've given us to care for it (Genesis 1:26). Guide those in authority, giving them wisdom and resolve to make decisions that respect and protect the environment (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Help us, your people, to be good stewards in our daily lives, remembering that you have set eternity in our hearts (Ecclesiastes 3:11), and that our actions should reflect your love for all creation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
