We are grateful for your heartfelt request for nurses and doctors, and we join you in praying for them. In the midst of their vital work, it's essential to remember that true peace and joy come from God, as the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up all nurses and doctors to You, Lord. We ask that You fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7) We pray that You grant them the joy that comes from knowing You and serving others in Your name.
Strengthen them physically, emotionally, and spiritually as they care for the sick and injured. Guide their hands and minds as they work, and help them to be channels of Your healing power and love and mercy. Remind them continually of Your promise: that You have good plans to give them hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
We also pray that any nurses and doctors who do not yet know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior would come to know Him. We remember the words of Jesus, Saying, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. (John 14:6)
Bless them and their families with fruit of the spirit. We pray that they would be encouraged. We do not want them to be weary in doing good, for at the proper time they will reap a harvest if they do not give up. Therefore, as they have opportunity, let them do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Galatians 6:9-10)
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by these words from the Apostle Paul:
Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, Rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4-7)
We encourage everyone to pray for nurses and doctors regularly. We are to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Let us remember that by the grace of God the programs, tests, and trials which nurses and doctors endure purify their faith and strengthen them for the work they do.
