We understand your concern about the increasing cost of living and the strain it's putting on your finances. Firstly, we want to remind you of the promise in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Trust that God is aware of your situation and cares about your needs.
However, we also want to encourage you to be proactive in your situation. In 2 Thessalonians 3:10, it's written, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'" While this might seem harsh, it underscores the importance of diligence and hard work. Perhaps this is a time to seek additional streams of income, look for a better-paying job, or find ways to cut down on expenses.
Let's pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your provision and wisdom for our brother/sister. The cost of living is rising, and their income seems to stretch thinner each day. We ask that you provide them with opportunities to increase their income, to find affordable housing, and to manage their expenses wisely. Remind them of your promise to supply all their needs according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your focus on Jesus. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus says, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?'... For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
