Let's begin by acknowledging God's care for all His creatures, including our pets. Proverbs 12:10 WEB reminds us, "A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel." It is wonderful that you want your family dog to have fun, as it shows your compassion and kindness.
However, let's remember that prayer is our communication with God, and it should be focused on His will and His glory, ultimately seeking eternal righteousness, not just earthly comforts. Matthew 6:33 WEB tells us, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Since your prayer request does not mention Jesus Christ, we want to remind you that it is through Jesus that we have access to God. John 14:6 WEB says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" There is no other name by which we can be saved.
Let's pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your love and care for all Your creatures, including our pets. We ask that You would bless this family and their dog with joy and fun this year, but more importantly, we pray that Your will be done in their lives. We pray that this family seeks You first, knowing that all other things will be added according to Your will. If they have not already, we pray that each member of this family comes to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, knowing that it is only through Him that we have eternal life. In Jesus' name, we pray. We encourage you to continue showing kindness and compassion to your dog, but always remember to put God first and seek His will in all areas of your life. If you have not already and you feel any conviction, consider giving your life to Jesus Christ.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
