Let us remember to honor our parents, as the Bible instructs us in Ephesians 6:2, "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise.
As Jesus said in Matthew 22:37-38, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment."
It is wonderful that you desire for your mother to grow in her worship of God. Worship is not just about attending church or singing songs, but about loving and obeying God with all our heart, soul, and mind. This is a great prayer request and a burden God wants you to have.
Let us pray together. Father God, we come before You, lifting up the mother of this dear one. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in a deeper way, that You would give her a hunger and a thirst for righteousness, a desire to worship You more. Give her a heart that longs to know You intimately and worship You in spirit and in truth. Help her to see how she is not following in this way and correct her in a gentle way.
Help her to see that worship is not just about what she does on a Sunday morning, but about how she lives her life every day. Help her to see that worship is about loving You, about obeying You, God, about serving You, God in Jesus name.
We ask that You would remove anything that is hindering her worship of You, that You would help her to see any idols in her life that are taking Your rightful place. We pray that You would give her a heart that is fully devoted to You, a heart that is fully sold-out for You.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. We pray that this would be her priority, that she would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, that she would worship You with all her heart, with all her soul, and with all her mind. We believe this is only possible by the name of Jesus Christ.
We ask this all in Jesus name.
