Let's come together in prayer for your mom, and remember that it is only by the name of Jesus we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. That is why it is so important to pray in Jesus' name.
Firstly, it's important to understand that loving oneself is not about selfishness or pride, but about valuing the person God created us to be. We are to love others as we love ourselves, so it's crucial to have a healthy love for oneself.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up the mother of this dear one. We pray that You would fill her heart with Your love, so that she may love herself in a healthy and godly way. Help her to see herself as You see her, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
We pray against any feelings of inadequacy, low self-worth, or self-doubt that may be hindering her from loving herself. We rebuke these feelings in Jesus' name. We ask that you give her the power of the Holy Spirit to cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
Your word also tells us that there is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends (John 15:13). Help her to love others in a way that reflects Your love, but not at the expense of her own well-being.
We ask that You would guide her in Your truth and teach her, for You are God our Savior, and our hope is in You all day long (Psalm 25:5).
We pray this all in Jesus' name, for there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
We encourage you to remind your mom of her worth in Christ. Encourage her to spend time in God's Word, seeking His face, and trusting in His unfailing love for her. Remind her that she is precious to God and loved by Him.
