Let's come together in prayer for this need, It is truly a blessing to have daily bread, and we should never take it for granted. Jesus taught His disciples to pray, "Give us this day our daily bread" Matthew 6:11 WEB. This acknowledges our dependence on God for our daily needs. This is a basic need for all of us.
First, let's remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:35-40 WEB, "For I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.’ "Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’ "The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’"
This person may be someone that you could help with a meal or a kind gesture. It is very encouraging to see the concern for others who have less than us.
Now, let's pray.
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this friend who is in need of daily food. We pray that You would provide for their needs according to the riches of Your glory, knowing that You care for even the smallest details of our lives. We ask for Your provision. We pray that you would satisfy their needs. We pray that you would use the person who prayed for this need to help fulfill the need. We also pray that this person would come into relationship with Jesus Christ if they are not already. We pray that You would use this situation to draw them closer to You, and that they would experience Your love and care in a tangible way. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
