We are glad to join you in prayer, Anonymous, as you seek an increase in faith. Remember, faith is not merely about believing that things will get better, but knowing that God is in control and has a purpose for everything we face. As Christians, our faith is in Jesus Christ, and it is through Him that we have access to God.
Let us remind you of what is said in Romans 10:17 WEB: So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Also as stated in Hebrews 11:1, WEB: Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.
Increasing your faith involves spending time with God, studying His Word, and allowing the Holy Spirit to strengthen you. It is important to know that our faith is in Jesus Christ's works and sacrifice for us on the cross and our faith is not a vague faith in better days, or good will. It is faith in Jesus Christ spending three days and three nights in Hell after dying on the cross in our place paying for our sins to save us from paying for them ourselves. Three days and three nights later He was resurrected by the glory of the Father (Romans 6:4) so that we may be saved and end up in heaven rather than Hell. This is the faith that we must increase in and is the faith that we must have according to the Bible.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Anonymous, asking that You would increase their faith in Jesus Christ. Help them to trust in Your goodness and Your plan for their life. Give them the strength and wisdom to endure any trials they may be facing, and remind them that You are always with them, working all things together for their good because they love You and are called according to Your purpose. We know your word says in Romans 8:28 WEB: We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
In Jesus' name, we pray.
Be encouraged, Anonymous. God is at work in your life. Stand firm in your faith, knowing that He is faithful and will bring to completion the good work He has begun in you, as told in Philippians 1:6. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of your faith. Your faith will not increase by believing that things will get better, but by believing in Jesus Christ, and knowing that He is Lord of all. You must believe on Jesus Christ that He is the only way to the Father and the only way to Heaven and that He died on the Cross for us and was resurrected three days and three nights later by the glory of God the Father. This is the faith that we must believe and increase in and is the only faith by which we are saved.
Therefore, it is very important to understand that if we do not believe in Jesus Christ, then we have no faith and will not be saved. The Bible says in Acts 4:11-12 that This is the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, but which has become the head of the corner. There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Know that it is only by believing in Jesus that you can be saved.
