Let us lift up your cousin's son in prayer, seeking God's blessings and protection upon his life. We stand together in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are only saved. No other name allows this for us or anyone. As we pray, let us remember the words of the Bible. God promises us: "For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB.)
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the son of our dear friend's cousin to You. We ask that You would bless him abundantly and protect him from all harm, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. Guide him in the paths of righteousness and help him to grow in the knowledge and love of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Surround him with Your favor and grace, and let Your light shine upon him.
We also pray for the family, that You would strengthen their bonds of love and support for one another. Help them to be wise but understanding. Help them to guide him in the way and truth of God and Your love. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. (Philipians 4:7 WEB). Help them to train up this child in the way he should go; and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6 WEB).
If there are any areas in their lives that do not align with Your will, reveal them to them. I will instruct you all and teach you all in the way which you shall go. I will guide you all with my eye. (Psalms 32:8 WEB) If there are any areas in our lives that do not align with Your will, reveal them to us as we pray and meditate on Your Word so we may repent, and change, and better pray for and help this child and his parents to grow in faith and be in your will. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2 WEB).
Father, we ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we pray and seek Your will. Amen.
