We are glad to join you in prayer for your cousin and her son. First, we would like to remind you of the power of agreeing together in prayer as Jesus teaches us in (WEB Matthew 18:19) Again, I tell you assuredly that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our cousin and her son. We thank you, Lord, for your promise to protect and watch over your children. We claim your promise in (WEB Psalm 91:11) For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways.
Lord, we pray that you will give our cousin a deep and abiding trust in your protection for her son. Help her to cast all her anxieties on you, knowing that you care for them. (WEB 1 Peter 5:7)
We also pray for her son, that you will surround him with your favor as with a shield. (WEB Psalm 5:12) Guide him in the paths of righteousness for your name's sake, and keep him from evil. (WEB Psalm 23:3) (WEB Psalm 121:7)
Help our cousin to rest in your promise that she can approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that she may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (WEB Hebrews 4:16) We trust her son into your loving hands, Lord, knowing that you are more than able to keep him safe.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
We encourage you both to continue to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (WEB Proverbs 3:5)
Lastly, we just want to note that our cousin did not mention Jesus Christ in the prayer request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And there is no other name by which we can be saved. We just want to remind our cousin of this. (WEB Acts 4:12)
