Let us bring your brother before the throne of grace, dear friend. It is crucial to remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we ought to honor God with our bodies. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
Firstly, we notice that Jesus Christ or His name was not mentioned. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. Let us pray that your brother will come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, that he may be saved and enter the kingdom of God. "Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 WEB.
Now, let us pray for your brother's well-being.
Heavenly Father, we lift up the brother of our fellow believer to you. We pray that he will come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, that he may be saved and enter the kingdom of God. We ask that you will give him a sound mind and body, that he may take good care of himself as he is your temple. Whether it is his physical health, mental well-being, or spiritual growth, we pray that you will guide him in the right path. Lord, we who are filled with the Holy Spirit, we pray that your Holy Spirit will mold him from inside out, that he may be transformed to the image of Jesus Christ from glory to glory. Help him to be disciplined by self control and surrender to the Holy Spirit. Give him the strength to resist temptations that may harm his body, and guide him to make wise decisions that will honor you. In Jesus name we pray.
We encourage you to continue praying for your brother, trusting that God is at work in his life.
