Let us pray for your brother.
Beloved, we are reminded in Proverbs 10:4, "Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth." And in 2 Thessalonians 3:10, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither let him eat." It is clear that God values hard work and expects us to do our part.
Firstly, let us encourage your brother to be diligent in his job search, updating his resume, applying for jobs, and preparing for interviews. As the Scripture says, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might" Ecclesiastes 9:10.
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up the brother of Anonymous, seeking Your will for his life, especially in his career. We ask that You open doors of opportunity for him, and guide him to the job that You have prepared for him. Help him to trust in You, and be anxious for nothing. We rebuke any spirit of laziness or entitlement, and ask that You would help him to be diligent and proactive in his job search.
We also pray for Anonymous, that You would give them peace and assurance that You are working in their brother's life. Help them to trust in You and to support their brother in practical ways.
Father, we ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who came to give us life, and life more abundantly. It is in His name that we pray.
Finally, beloved, we encourage you to trust in God's timing and provision. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6.
If your brother is not a believer in Jesus Christ, we encourage you to share the good news of the gospel with him. Let him know that the Scriptures teach, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16. It is only through Jesus and belief in him that we are saved and have access to God.
