Let us together as a group bring your request to God. We all want our loved ones to experience joy and fulfillment in life, and you have shared that you would like us to pray that your brother will enjoy every day this year.
Firstly, we would like to point out that real joy is only found when living a life aligned with God's will and purposes. Many times, we only view enjoyment through worldly pleasures, yet true contentment is found in our connection with Jesus Christ. We are reminded in His word in Romans 14:17 WEB For the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Before we pray, we would like to encourage you and your brother with the words found in Romans 12:12 WEB:
Rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer.
True enjoyment comes not from circumstances but from the hope we have in Jesus Christ and a continual life of prayer. It is only in His name that we can ask anything of God. It is also only through Jesus Christ that we are saved. If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then meditate on the following verses: Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved! And John 3:16 WEB For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ lifting up the brother of our friend. We pray that throughout this year, he would come to know the true joy that comes from a righteous, peaceful, and joyful life in the Holy Spirit. We pray that he would rejoice in the hope that he has in Jesus Christ, enduring through troubles, and continuing steadfastly in prayer. We ask that You would guide him, lead him, and help him to grow in his relationship with You. We pray that he would enjoy each and every day this year, finding contentment in Your love and goodness. In Jesus name, amen.
