Let us join together in praying for Jaylen, that God would fill his heart with joy and that he would experience true enjoyment throughout this year. We remember the words of Scripture, "Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, Rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4 WEB). This joy is not merely happiness based on circumstances, but a deep, abiding joy that comes from knowing Jesus Christ and being known by Him.
As we pray, let us also remember the source of true joy: "I will go your way again. I will teach you the good and right way. I will instruct you with my eyes on you. Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding, whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, that they do not come near to you. Many sorrows will be to those who leave your love. But as for me, I will come into your house in the multitude of your loving kindness. In the fear of Yahweh is the instruction of wisdom honor shall surround me until I am old. Find rest, my soul, in God alone, my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; my fortress where I get deliverance. Yes, my strength and my shield, in him my heart trusts. I am helped, therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him" (Psalm 32:8-11,62:5-8 WEB).
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Jaylen to You. We ask that You would fill his heart with Your joy, a joy that transcends all understanding. Guide him throughout this year, and help him to find his enjoyment and satisfaction in You alone. Draw him closer to You, Lord, and give him a deeper understanding of Your love and grace.
If Jaylen does not already have a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ, we also pray that he would come to know Jesus as His Lord and Savior. As it is written, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed" (Romans 10:9-11 WEB).
We ask all of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
