Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend who is struggling with anxiety and severe insomnia. Lord, Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7 to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, to let our requests be made known to You. We ask for Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father, we pray that You would grant them the rest they so desperately need. Your Word in Psalm 4:8 says, "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." We ask that You would calm their anxious thoughts and bring them into a deep, restorative sleep.
Lord, we trust in Your promise from Matthew 11:28, where Jesus invites us to come to Him, all who are weary and burdened, and He will give us rest. We pray that our friend would find comfort and rest in Your presence tonight.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
