We understand that you are seeking prayer for success in an important exam to advance in your nursing program, and you have also asked for prayer for your classmates.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is sovereign over all things, including your studies. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." This means that we should put our trust in God, not in our own abilities or efforts.
However, we also want to encourage you to do your best and work diligently, as Colossians 3:23 WEB says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." This means that we should put our best effort into all that we do, as if we were doing it for God himself.
We also notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we have been saved and it is only through him that we are able to approach our Heavenly Father. Knowing that we should pray in Jesus' name, as it says in John 14:13 WEB "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
With this in mind, let us pray for you and your classmates:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up this student and their classmates as they prepare to take this important exam. We ask, Lord, that you would give them sharp minds and calm hearts, helping them to remember all that they have studied.
We pray that they would do their best, working heartily as if for you, Lord. We ask that you would bless their efforts and allow them to achieve the scores needed to advance in their nursing program.
But most importantly, Lord, we pray that they would put their trust in you, acknowledging you in all their ways. We ask that you would make their paths straight, guiding them according to your will.
We pray all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, thanking you for the gift of salvation that is available through him.
Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting in God, working diligently, and praying in Jesus' name as you navigate your studies and beyond. May God bless you and your classmates as you seek to serve others through nursing.
