Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise, that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.
The bible also states in Exodus 20:12 WEB:
Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
It's important to note that while the Bible instructs us to honor our parents, it does not mean we will always agree with them or that they will always make the right decisions. Wisdom is essential in navigating these relationships, and God promises to grant it generously when we ask.
Also, we need to remember it is only by the name of Jesus that we can come to the Father. Jesus states in John 14:6:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved individual who seeks wisdom in their relationship with their mom. We ask that You grant them the wisdom that comes from above, as described in James 3:17 WEB:
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Guide them in their interactions, help them to speak with love and respect, and give them the discernment to understand their mom's perspectives. Enable them to set boundaries when necessary, and to always act in a way that honors You.
In Jesus' name, we pray for healing in this relationship, for open communication, and for a deepening bond of love and understanding. Help them to be always looking for ways to be a blessing and a source of encouragement.
Help them to be grateful for their mom and to grow and learn from her strengths. Help them to not let any bitterness or anger to take root in their relationship.
We also pray for a hedge of protection around this relationship, that it may be shielded from any negative influences or misunderstandings. Help them to always act in a way that honors You and reflects Your love.
Finally, we pray for a deeper understanding of Your will for their life and the role their mom plays in it. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness in our lives.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You.
