Firstly, let's remember that God's will is paramount in all our relationships. We should seek Him first, as it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
