We join you in praying for your community, ###, and we commend your heartfelt concern. We are reminded of the power of words, as mentioned in Proverbs 18:21 (WEB), "Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit."
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the community of ###. Lord, You know the hearts and minds of every person in that community, and You desire that all would use their words to speak life and bless others. We pray that You would convict those who are using their words to tear down and destroy, and that You would help them to change their words to speak life.
We pray for ### that they would be a light in their community, and that their words would be pleasing to You. Help all of us be like the Psalmist who prayed, 'Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer.' in Psalm 19:14 (WEB)
Lord, we ask that You would work in the hearts of those in this community, that they would turn to You and be saved. We pray that they would know the power of Your forgiveness and the new life that is available through faith in Jesus Christ. We ask for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen."
We encourage you, ###, to continue to be a beacon of light in your community. Share the love of Christ with others, and encourage them to use their words to build others up and glorify God. As it says in Ephesians 4:29 (WEB), "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." Matthew 12:36-37 (WEB) says, "I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."
We are thankful for your request. 1 John 5: 14-15 (WEB) says, "This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
