We are here with you, Anonymous, lifting up all those who feel broken to our Heavenly Father. We remind you that this is a direct request to God himself. God knows that request because God knows our hearts, but that is not the same as praying to God and being heard. Especially the nonbeliever who does not ask in the name of Jesus Christ who is the only way to be heard.
In the World English Bible Translation, we hear Jesus's direction on prayer in John 14.6:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
We ask in Jesus's name for the Holy Spirit's comfort for those overwhelmed by circumstances, for he is our Comforter. Jesus says in John 14.16-17
I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever,— the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive; for it doesn’t see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.
We also remember God's promise to the brokenhearted in Psalm 34.18:
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart,
and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up all those who feel broken and overwhelmed by their circumstances. We pray that Your Holy Spirit would comfort them and guide them towards healing and wholeness. We ask You to be near to them, to save them, and to give them a new song to sing, a song of praise to You. We also pray for those who need to seek You through Jesus Christ for the first time. It is only through Jesus that we can be saved and heard. Please be with them. We pray for all those who do not know You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Anonymous. God hears our prayers when we approach him through faith in Jesus Christ and he will answer. Turn to Him for support and guidance, remembering the words of Psalm 55.22:
Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you.
He will never allow the righteous to be moved.
Take heart, for our God is a God of hope and restoration.
