We are deeply moved by your compassion for those in need of food. We join you in praying for God's provision and blessings over their lives. As we lift them up, let us remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:35-40 (WEB):
"For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me. I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’ The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'"
Let us pray:
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine intervention in the lives of those who are hungry and in need of food. We pray that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. We ask that You would move in the hearts of Your people to share their bread with the hungry and bring them into their houses (Isaiah 58:7).
We also pray for those who are spiritually hungry, that You would feed them with the bread of life, which is Jesus Christ Himself (John 6:35). We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them and draw them to Yourself.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray and who is the only way to You. It is in His name that we have access to You and it is by His name that we are saved. Thank You for hearing our prayer. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue interceding for those in need, both physically and spiritually. As we pray and act on their behalf, we are being the hands and feet of Jesus to a world in need. We do not have because we do not ask God (James 4:2) and we have not because we ask with wrong motives (James 4:3). So let us ask with pure hearts for the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
