We are deeply moved by your compassion for those without a home, and we join you in prayer, but we must pray in the name of Jesus to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved and there is no other way to approach God, the Father. God's Word tells us, "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." John 16:23 WEB. "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.' "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?" Romans 10:13-14 WEB.
Let us pray together in Jesus' name.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lift up those who are homeless and in need of shelter. We ask that You provide them with a safe and stable home, and that You meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs according to Your will.
We pray that they will know Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation and have faith in Him as they pass through the storms of this life.
Father, we also pray for those in authority, that they may have wisdom and compassion as they take action to address homelessness.
Help us as believers to be Your hands and feet, showing Your love and compassion to those in need.
We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged by the words of Jesus, "For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me." Matthew 25:35 WEB. As we show kindness and compassion to those in need, we are serving Jesus Himself.
Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus we can approach God. It is by His sacrifice that we are made right before God and can receive an inheritance from Him. Jesus perfectly kept the law. He atoned for our sins. He was our sacrifice. He fulfilled the meaning of being justified by faith.
