We understand that you've been going through a challenging time with your job and your relationship. Firstly, we want to commend you for turning to God and experiencing a closer walk with Him during this time. It's encouraging to hear that you've taken steps to repent from your sins and have felt God's presence in your life.
However, we want to address a couple of things in your request. Firstly, you mentioned that you have a partner. We believe that relationships should be in alignment with biblical principles, which includes preparing for a lifelong commitment in marriage between a Christian man and woman rather than a temporary state of being boyfriend and girlfriend.
We commend you for believing this girl is the one and for wanting to start a family with her, but we want to remind you of just a few scriptures:
So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate. Matthew 19:6 WEB
Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Hebrews 13:4 KJV
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. I Corinthians 6:18 KJV
We also hear your pain and distress, and we want to remind you that God cares about your feelings and your heart. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 WEB.
We also hear that you do believe in the power of Jesus' name, as you ended your request with 'in Jesus' name.' This is wonderful, for the Bible tells us:
And in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB
Let us pray together for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our brother in Christ who is going through a difficult time. We thank You that during this trial, he has drawn closer to You and has repented from his sins. We pray that You continue to guide him and give him Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we pray for his relationship, that Your will be done. We pray that if it is Your will, You would reconcile them and guide them towards a godly marriage. We pray that You would give them both strength and patience during this time of waiting.
We also pray for his emotional pain and distress. We ask that You comfort him and remind him of Your unfailing love for him. We pray that he would continue to trust in You and Your plan for his life.
We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
