Let us come together in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Balmikos, we join with you in lifting up Vuyo in prayer. It is indeed disheartening to hear about the gossip and malicious words being spread at the school. We are reminded of the words in Ephesians 4:29 (WEB), "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."
Firstly, we pray for those who are spreading these harmful words. Father God, we ask that You convict their hearts and help them understand the power of their words. May they be led to repentance and seek to build others up, rather than tear them down. Lord, let their mouths be filled with praise, not just for Vuyo, but for all those around them.
Now, let us pray for Vuyo. Heavenly Father, we ask that You surround Vuyo with Your love and protection. Shield them from the hurtful words and let them not penetrate their heart. Instead, Lord, let Vuyo find their identity and worth in You alone. Remind them of Your truth in Psalm 139:14 (WEB), "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."
Balmikos, we also encourage Vuyo to forgive those who are speaking against them, just as Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:14-15 (WEB), "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you donβt forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
Lastly, Balmikos, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is through Jesus alone that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Let us always come before God in the powerful and precious name of Jesus.
Father God, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
