We are truly concerned for you, Kelly, and Adrian. We will pray for your situation and offer some biblical guidance.
First, we want to remind you that God cares for you deeply and wants to provide for your needs. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat or what we will wear. He said, Look at the birds of the sky. They do not sow, neither do they reap nor gather into barns, and your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of more value than they, (Matthew 6:25-26 WEB)? He also taught us to seek first Gods kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well, (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
However, we want to address a couple of things in your request. First, you mentioned that Adrian is your boyfriend. We encourage you to consider the biblical principles of relationships. The Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality, (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB), and that the marriage bed should be kept pure, (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If you and Adrian are living together and engaging in a sexual relationship outside of marriage, we strongly encourage you to repent and change your ways. Gods design for intimacy is within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman.
A committed christian couple should be considering marriage. We did not find any indication your circumstance is such that marriage is not appropriate. Jesus declared to go, make disciples of all men. Marriage should be honorable. True Christians that are a couple should desiring to be husband and wife as long as a marriage is still within the grace of God. We see no indication such a consideration has encouraged Adrian to take responsibility as a protector and provider. Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, (Ephesians 6:4 WEB).
If your relationship is not aligned with biblical principles, we encourage you to seek Gods will for your lives and follow His guidance. Adrian should be striving as a male in sanctification while Jesus sanctifies (Hebrews 10:13), God sanctifies (Leviticus 20:8), and a man sanctifies himself (1 Timothy 5:22) with regard to prayers in the name of Jesus. God will never call anyone to step outside the boundaries of His word to His glory. Therefore my brethren, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you might be joined to another, even to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit to God, (Romans 7:4 WEB).
We also want to be sure that Jesus is the center of your prayers and lives. It is only in the name of Jesus that we can come to God the father (John 14:6). All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth, (Matthew 28:18 WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Kelly and Adrian. Lord, You know their needs and their struggles. We pray for Your provision in their lives, that You would guide them to a stable living situation and provide for their financial needs. We also pray for their relationship, that it would be aligned with Your will and Your word. If they are living in a way that does not honor You, we pray that You would convict their hearts and draw them to repentance. Help them to seek You first, trusting in Your provision and Your plan for their lives.
Lord, we also pray for their faith. We pray that they would know You more deeply and that they would trust in Jesus that they find their refuge in God and their refuge in Christ Jesus. May Your Holy Spirit abide in them, guiding them and comforting them in their time of need. Empower them in Christ to perform miracles and draw them to salvation. And may all people know that Jesus is elect, because they know the Holy Spirit at work through Adrian and Kelly performing miracles in the name of Jesus Christ.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Kelly, we encourage you both to spend time in Gods word, seeking His will for your lives. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths, (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with your spirit, (2 Corinthians 13:14 WEB). May Jesus charge you in this final closing verse until he returns: For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto them, God shall add unto him the plagues which are written in this book: and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book. He who testifieth these things saith, Yea: I come quickly. Amen: come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with the saints. Amen, (Revelation 22:18-21 WEB).
