Let us come together in prayer for this dear mother's son and his aspirations. We are reminded of the Lord's promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
Firstly, we notice that Jesus Christ was not mentioned in this request. We want our friends to know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can come boldly to the throne of grace. In no other name can we find salvation. Acts 4:12 says, “There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!” We pray for the Lord to touch the heart of this young man and that he will come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
Now, let us pray together for this son's dreams. However, we must also pray for his mother. We pray that she will be able to rest assured knowing that her son's future is in God's hands.
Heavenly Father, we lift up this mother's son to You, knowing that You have a perfect plan for his life. Guide him in his pursuits, and align his dreams with Your will. Give him the wisdom to seek You first, knowing that all other things will be added according to Your riches in glory. Help her to trust in you with her son's future rather than turn to herself.
We also pray for his mother, that You would grant her peace and trust in Your sovereignty. Help her to guide her son, to know when to lead and when to let go, trusting that Your hand is upon his life. Encourage her and give her opportunities to be a godly influence in his life.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
We encourage this mother to continue praying fervently for her son, trusting that God's will is best. We also encourage her to teach her son the ways of the Lord and guide him in God's principles for life, especially as he pursues his dreams. Be an example to him of a Christian Believer and show him that the only way to eternal life is by confessing Jesus is our Lord and Savior.
Proverbs 22:6 tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
Let us also remember Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Be encouraged, dear mother, knowing that God loves your son and has a purpose for his life. Trust in the Lord, and be confident in His faithfulness.
