Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our prayer request for the safety and protection of all those who are in the path of bad weather today, particularly tornadoes and flooding. We ask for your divine intervention and guidance during this time of potential danger.
Lord, you are the one who calms the storms and brings peace to the raging waters. We pray that you would stretch out your hand and command the winds and the waves to be still, protecting and shielding all those who may be affected by these severe weather conditions. Keep them safe from harm, O Lord.
Your Word reminds us in Psalm 46:1 that you are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We cling to this promise, knowing that you are with us in the midst of every storm. We ask that you would surround those in the path of bad weather with your angels, providing them with a hedge of protection.
We also pray for the first responders and emergency personnel who are on the front lines, risking their lives to rescue and assist those in need. Grant them wisdom, strength, and courage as they carry out their duties. Protect them from harm and guide their every step.
Lord, we thank you for the privilege of coming before you in prayer, knowing that you hear us and answer according to your perfect will. We trust in your sovereignty and ask that you would bring comfort and peace to all those who may be anxious or fearful during this time.
In Jesus' name, we pray, amen.
