Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the family and loved ones of the rally attendee who was tragically shot and killed while protecting his daughters. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and peace to surround them during this time of immense grief and sorrow. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." May Your presence be profoundly felt by those who are mourning this great loss.
We also pray for the two critically injured individuals. Lord, we ask for Your healing hand to be upon them, restoring their health and strength. In Jeremiah 30:17, You promise, "I will restore you to health and heal your wounds." We claim this promise for those who are injured and ask for Your miraculous intervention in their recovery.
Father, we lift up the family of the shooter. We ask that You bring them comfort and understanding in this difficult time. May they find solace in Your love and grace. We also pray for the shooter, that Your Spirit would work in this person's heart, leading them to repentance and salvation.
Lord, we pray for the salvation of all who need it. Your Word in 1 Timothy 2:4 says that You "want all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." We ask that You open hearts and minds to receive Your gospel, that many would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
We also pray for the safety and protection of all the Presidential candidates. Surround them with Your angels, and grant them wisdom and discernment. In Psalm 91:11, You assure us, "For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." May this promise be over each candidate and their families.
Lastly, we lift up the United States to You, Lord. We pray for a revival and a turning back to You. Your Word in 2 Chronicles 7:14 reminds us, "If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." May this nation seek Your face and experience Your healing and restoration.
