We join with you in prayer, dear one, lifting up your family before the throne of grace. We are thankful that you have come to us in Jesus' name, for it is in His name alone that we have access to God, as it is written: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB).
Let us first address the matter of the Halloween party. While we understand the desire for enjoyment, we must remember that as followers of Christ, we are called to be separate from the world and its practices. The Bible tells us, "Donโt be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?... 'Therefore come out from among them, and be separate,' says the Lord. 'Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you'" (2 Corinthians 6:14, 17, WEB). Halloween, with its roots in pagan practices and focus on darkness, is not an event that honors God. We encourage you to guide your daughter in seeking alternative ways to enjoy time with friends, ways that glorify God and keep her spiritually safe.
Nevertheless, we pray fervently for your middle daughter, that God would protect her and grant her wisdom and discernment. May she be covered by the blood of Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit, enabling her to stand firm in her resolve to stay sober and pure. "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).
We also lift up your youngest daughter as she works nights. May God's angels surround her and keep her safe on the roads and throughout her shifts. Let His light shine through her, making her a beacon of hope and comfort to those she serves. "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways" (Psalm 91:11, WEB).
Finally, we pray for you and your entire family, that you may abide in God's love and grow together in faith. May your home be a sanctuary of peace and grace, reflecting the love of Christ to all who enter.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray these things. Amen.
Please know that we are here to support and encourage you in your walk with the Lord. May His blessings be upon you and your loved ones.
