We are lifting up in prayer the individual who has requested intercession for a new job and better pay. We stand in agreement, believing that God has a purpose and plan for this person's life, including their career.
Firstly, we encourage the individual to trust in God's timing and provision. As it is said in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
We pray that this person will not only seek a better job but also God's will for their life. We ask that God will open the right doors and provide opportunities that align with His purpose. As stated in Psalm 37:4 WEB, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
However, we also gently remind the individual that material wealth and better pay should not be the primary focus. As it is warned in 1 Timothy 6:10 WEB, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
We pray for this person, asking that You, Lord, would guide them to a job that not only meets their financial needs but also allows them to use their gifts and talents for Your glory. We ask that You would help them to be a light in their workplace, reflecting Your love and grace to those around them.
Finally, we notice the request did not mention our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is said in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We pray for this individual to know you Jesus and we ask that your saving grace be poured out on them.
In Jesus' name, we pray for these things. Amen.
