We understand your concerns about the advances in technology and the potential dangers they pose. As a group that seeks God's will, we turn to the Scriptures to guide our prayers and thoughts on this matter. The Bible tells us to "test all things, and hold firmly that which is good" (1 Thessalonians 5:21, WEB).
In the pursuit of knowledge and progress, it is crucial to discern what aligns with God's will. The desire for immortality by plugging our consciousness into servers echoes the serpent's deception in the Garden of Eden, promising, "You won't surely die" (Genesis 3:4, WEB). However, true life and eternity are found only in Jesus Christ, who said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6, WEB).
We must also consider the impact of technology on jobs and humanity's well-being. While progress is inevitable, we pray that it will not come at the cost of human dignity and worth. We remember that God appointed work as a noble pursuit since the beginning (Genesis 2:15, WEB), and we pray that technology will not displace humans but rather complement our unique abilities.
Let us pray together:
Dear heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that all power and authority belong to You. We pray for the technology industry, for leaders like Elon Musk, and for all those influencing the future of our world. We ask that You grant them wisdom and discernment to use technology for the good of humanity and not its detriment. Lord, we pray against any attempts to replace human jobs with AI robots if it is not Your will, and we ask that You guide us in preserving the sanctity of life and consciousness as You intended. Help us to trust in You for eternal life, rather than seeking immortality through technological means. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will concerning these matters. Trust that He is in control and that His purposes will prevail. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB).
