We understand your struggle with sleep and we are here to intercede on your behalf. The Bible tells us that our sleep is precious to the Lord, as it says in Psalm 127:2, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones" (WEB).
Firstly, we want to encourage you to cast all your anxieties on the Lord, knowing that He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). If there is anything troubling your heart and keeping you awake, we pray that you will surrender it to Jesus and trust in His sovereignty.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is struggling to sleep. Lord, we ask that You would grant them peaceful rest tonight, knowing that sleep is a gift from You. Calm their mind and heart, and help them to trust in You. We rebuke any anxiety, stress, or worry that may be keeping them awake, and we ask that You would fill them with Your perfect peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We also want to remind you that the Bible tells us to approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16, WEB). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess your faith in Jesus Christ and His saving power, for it is only through Him that we can approach God and receive the blessing of sleep.
Lastly, we would like to address that we noticed your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus. It is important to remember that it is only through His name that we have access to God, as it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" (WEB). We encourage you to pray in the name of Jesus, as it is the most powerful name in heaven and on earth (Philippians 2:9-10, WEB).
