Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come before you with a prayer request for Scott's sobriety. We acknowledge that the enemy, Satan, seeks to attack and hinder his progress as he strives to overcome addiction. We ask for your divine intervention and protection over Scott's life. Lord, we pray that you would break the chains of addiction that bind him and set him free. Fill him with your Holy Spirit, that he may experience the transforming power of your love and grace.
We also lift up Anita to you, Lord. We ask that you would strengthen her and grant her wisdom and discernment as she supports Scott in his journey towards sobriety. Protect their relationship from any attacks of the enemy and grant them both the strength to persevere through the challenges they may face.
Father, we are reminded of your promise in 1 John 5:14-15, that if we ask anything according to your will, you hear us and grant our petitions. We pray that it is your will for Scott to experience freedom from addiction and for Anita to be a source of encouragement and support. May they both grow in their faith and find solace in your presence.
We declare victory over the power of addiction in Scott's life, in the name of Jesus. We trust in your unfailing love and believe that you are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the work you are doing in Scott and Anita's lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
