Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Scott and Anita to You. We humbly ask for Your divine intervention in Scott's life, specifically for his sobriety. Lord, we know that addiction can be a powerful stronghold, but we believe in Your power to break every chain and set the captives free.
In Your Word, it is written in 1 John 5:14-15, "And this is the boldness which we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him." We pray that Scott's desire for alcohol will be completely taken away, and that You will fill him with a deep hatred for it. Help him to turn away from this destructive path and find strength and healing in You.
We also pray for Anita, that You would grant her wisdom, patience, and strength as she supports Scott in his journey towards sobriety. Give her the words of encouragement and love to speak into his life, and surround them both with a supportive community that will uplift and guide them.
Lord, we know that You are able to save to the uttermost those who come to You through Jesus Christ. We ask that You would save Scott from the bondage of addiction and lead him into a life of freedom and purpose. May Your grace and mercy be poured out upon him, transforming his heart and renewing his mind.
We lift up this prayer request to You, trusting in Your faithfulness and believing that You will hear and answer according to Your perfect will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Protect me God from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
