We understand that you are seeking prayer and restoration for a past relationship. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging your past mistakes and for the efforts you've made to turn your life around. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and have access to God.
We must first address a few things in your request. You mentioned that you were involved in addiction and deception. These are serious issues that God addresses in His word. Addiction can be a form of idolatry, where we put something else before God. The Bible says, "Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry" (Colossians 3:5 WEB). Deception is also strongly condemned. "Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another" (Ephesians 4:25 WEB).
You also mentioned that you love this woman unlike anyone you have ever met and that she is perfect. While it is commendable to cherish someone, we must be careful not to elevate anyone above God. God alone is perfect, and He should be our first love. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength" (Mark 12:30 WEB).
Regarding your desire to marry this person, we must consider God's will and timing. It is wise to seek God's face and be patient. "Wait for the Lord. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the Lord" (Psalm 27:14 WEB). Also, marriage is a lifelong commitment that should not be entered into lightly. It is designed to be a union between a man and a woman who are both committed to God and to each other. We must also remember that God is in control of all things, including relationships. "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up our brother who is seeking Your will for his life and his past relationship. Lord, we thank You for the work You have already done in his life, turning him away from addiction and deception, and bringing him closer to You.
We ask, Lord, that You continue to heal him from his past hurts and mistakes. Guide him on Your path, and help him to wait patiently for Your will regarding this relationship. If it is Your will, Lord, we ask that You restore this relationship, that You mend what was broken, and that You guide them both into a godly marriage that honors and glorifies You.
Help him to keep You first in his life, Lord, and to trust in Your timing and Your will. Give him strength and courage to face each day, and to live in a manner that is pleasing to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
