We are lifting Richard up in prayer, asking God to grant him strength and healing as he recovers from his prostate cancer treatment. We thank You, Lord, for bringing him through this chemotherapy, and we ask for Your continued continued mercy and healing power to completely remove this cancer and give him a clean bill of health.
As Richard takes on his new role at the government office, we pray for a spirit of wisdom and understanding to rest upon him. In Proverbs 2:6 WEB it says, "For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding". We ask for a renewed mind and the ability to master the technology involved in his new position. Though it may seem challenging, we know that with God, all things are possible. As Philippians 4:13 WEB tells us, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
We pray that Richard will humble himself, taking a note from 1 Peter 5:5 WEB, which says, "Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.' As he does this, Father, we ask that You give him the ability to listen attentively to his manager, James, and to take accurate notes.
Lord, we also lift up James, asking that You fill him with an extra measure of patience and kindness as he explains things to Richard. May their interactions be filled with grace and compassion, and we ask that Richard will not be anxious when he goes to work. We remind him of Philippians 4:6 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." and that he would be faithful in praying to God about any fears he may have.
Father, we ask for Your divine favor over Richard's job. Oh Lord, if it is Your will that he continue in this job, we ask that You provide him with the security that he feels that he need and we pray that he will be able to keep his job and that it will be a blessing to both himself and those who he is serving. We ask that You give Richard the confidence to speak up when he is struggling to understand, and we pray for an environment of teamwork and cooperation.
In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
