We understand your concern for your nation, Dexter2020, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for Singapore.
Firstly, we are instructed in 1 Timothy 2:1-3 (WEB), "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence." We should pray for those in authority, that they may rule with wisdom and justice.
However, it is also important to remember that our ultimate citizenship is in heaven, as Philippians 3:20 (WEB) reminds us, "For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." This perspective helps us to engage with earthly matters with a heavenly mindset.
Regarding the influx of foreigners, the Bible teaches us to love and care for the foreigner (Leviticus 19:34), but it also teaches fairness and justice (Micah 6:8). It is not wrong to desire a fair system that prioritizes the welfare of your fellow citizens, as long as it is done with a heart that is not filled with hatred or discrimination.
Let us pray together:
"Father in Heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Singapore and its leadership. We ask that You guide them with Your wisdom, that they may rule with justice and fairness. We pray for a fair job market that prioritizes the welfare of Singaporean citizens, and also cares for the foreigners in your land. We ask that You intervene in the upcoming elections, that leaders of Your choosing may be elected. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
Lastly, we commend you for acknowledging Jesus in your request. It is through His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
