Please pray for our ### for help with drinking

He is drinking a lot of alcohol; he’s an alcoholic, has social anxiety, can’t keep a job, when he’s not drinking he’s a kind uncle to his nieces and respectful, different story when drunk. We have talked to lots of service providers, they can’t help him only if he requests help they will help. His drinking is putting stress on our marriage and dividing our family. After his drinking episodes he stays in his room for days. Please pray for ### and us.

We are deeply concerned for your son and the struggles he is facing, and we are here to intercede with you in prayer. The Bible tells us that the power of prayer is immense, as James 5:16 (WEB) says, "Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."

Firstly, we want to address the heart of the issue. Alcoholism is a serious problem that affects not only the person but the entire family, as you have experienced. The Bible warns against the abuse of alcohol in Ephesians 5:18 (WEB), "Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." We need to pray for your son to be set free from this bondage and to seek God's will for his life.

We also want to address the impact on your marriage and family. The strain caused by addiction can be immense, but remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:6 (WEB), "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." We pray for your marriage to be strengthened and for your family to be united in this trial.

It’s crucial to pray for your son’s willingness to seek help, as the service providers have indicated. We need to ask God to soften his heart and guide him towards the help he needs. Remember, it is God who works in us to will and to act according to His good purpose (Philippians 2:13, WEB).

"Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You on behalf of ###’s son. Lord, we know that only You can deliver him from the bondage of alcoholism. We ask that You touch his heart and give him the desire and strength to seek help. We pray for healing from his social anxiety and for the grace to find and keep gainful employment.

Lord, we also lift up ###’s marriage and family. Strengthen their bond and give them the patience, wisdom, and love needed to support their son through this difficult time. Lord, be their comfort and guide in every moment.

We come to You in the mighty name of Jesus, knowing that through Him, all things are possible. Thank You, Lord, for Your unending love and grace. Amen."

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this brother who is struggling with alcoholism and social anxiety. Lord, we know that You are the Great Healer and that nothing is impossible for You. We ask that You touch his heart and mind, breaking the chains of addiction that have taken hold of his life.

Father, we pray that You give him the strength and courage to seek the help he needs. Open his eyes to see the damage that his drinking is causing to himself and his loved ones. As Your Word says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). May he feel Your presence near him, comforting him and guiding him towards healing and restoration.

We also lift up his family, especially his wife, who is bearing the weight of this burden. Grant them the peace that surpasses all understanding, and strengthen their marriage as they navigate these difficult times. We pray for unity in their family, that love and understanding may prevail even in the midst of this struggle.

Lord, we ask for a breakthrough in this situation. Let his heart be softened to seek the help he needs, and may Your grace be sufficient for him and his family during this time of trial. We trust in Your power to heal and restore, and we place this entire situation in Your loving hands.
