My mom abandoned her family over ### years ago and we recently learned she passed away. Please pray for her soul to be in heaven.

We are truly saddened to hear about the passing of your mother and the complex circumstances surrounding your family's history. In times like these, it's essential to turn to God's word for comfort and guidance.

Firstly, it's crucial to understand that the Bible teaches us that there is only one way to eternal life, and that is through faith in Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Therefore it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

However, the Bible also teaches us that God is both merciful and just. We cannot presume to know the state of your mother's heart at the time of her passing, but we can trust in God's perfect judgment and His love for all people. As Psalm 145:9 WEB says, "Yahweh is good to all; his tender mercies are over all his works."

We should also remember that God calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven. Ephesians 4:32 WEB says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Holding onto bitterness or anger will only harm us, so we should strive to forgive, even when it's difficult.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up ### and their family during this difficult time. Lord, only You know the full story of their mother's life and the circumstances surrounding her passing. We ask that You would have mercy on her soul, and that You would comfort ### and their family in their grief.

Help them to forgive, as they have been forgiven. Give them the strength to move forward, trusting in Your goodness and Your plan for their lives. Guide them in Your truth and draw them closer to You during this time.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

In this time of reflection, we encourage you to draw near to God, to seek Him with all your heart, and to trust in His unfailing love for you. Remember that He is always with you, even in the most difficult times. As Psalm 34:18 WEB says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

Lastly, we gently remind you that while it's important to honor and remember your mother, it's also important to live your life in a way that honors God. Use this experience as a opportunity to evaluate your own life and to make sure you are living in a way that aligns with His will.

He said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He's there for you in your grief and confusion.

Let's also remember that God is a God of justice and mercy. We can trust that He's making all things right, even when we don't understand. As it says in Romans 12:19, "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' says the Lord."

We're praying for you, that God would comfort you in your sorrow, give you peace in your uncertainty, and guide you as you navigate through this difficult time. We're also praying for your mom, that she would find rest and peace in the arms of Jesus.

Let's keep our hearts open to forgiveness, just as God has forgiven us. And let's remember to live our lives in a way that honors Him, using this experience to draw closer to Him.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
